The lawsuit alleges that O’Reilly violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending multiple marketing texts to reassigned telephone numbers that had been registered on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days. How Much Is the O’Reilly Settlement Payout?
The estimated payment is up to $22 per approved claim and may be reduced pro rata. The $18,842,577 figure is an aggregate ceiling for approved class payments, administration, attorneys’ fees and costs and any service award—not a guaranteed fund divided only among claimants. Only one approved claim per class member per phone number is allowed.
Am I Eligible to File a Claim?
You may qualify if your reassigned telephone number had been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days and received more than one O’Reilly text within a 12-month period after reassignment. The class period runs from April 15, 2021, through June 29, 2026. A claim may be denied if you made an online or in-store O’Reilly purchase during the 18 months before the texts.
