$35 Million Labcorp AMCA Data Breach Class Action Settlement
What Is the Labcorp AMCA Settlement About?
The litigation concerns a cybersecurity incident at AMCA, a third-party medical billing and collections vendor. Plaintiffs allege that unauthorized access to AMCA systems exposed personally identifiable and protected health information that Labcorp had transmitted to the vendor. Labcorp denies all claims, wrongdoing and liability.
How Much Is the Labcorp Settlement Payout?
A class member may choose one cash option and may also elect monitoring:
- An alternative cash payment estimated at $50, with no documentation of losses; or
- Up to $5,000 for documented, unreimbursed losses reasonably traceable to the incident, including up to 10 documented hours at $25 per hour.
- Up to two years of CyEx Medical Shield Pro medical and healthcare information monitoring.
Both cash options are subject to pro-rata adjustment based on valid claims and the net fund.
Am I Eligible to File a Claim?
You may qualify if Labcorp transmitted your personal information to AMCA and the information was contained in the AMCA computer systems implicated in the incident. Being a Labcorp patient by itself is not enough; the class turns on whether Labcorp sent the information to this collections vendor.
Is the Labcorp AMCA Settlement Legit?
Yes. The settlement is part of multidistrict litigation in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Kroll operates the court-authorized claim site. The official documents page includes the final approval order and judgment. Filing is free.
When’s the Claim Deadline?
Submit the online claim or mail the completed form postmarked by September 3, 2026. A final approval order does not guarantee immediate payment; distribution awaits the settlement’s effective date and the expiration or resolution of any appeal period.
Who Qualifies for the Labcorp Settlement?
The class includes people whose information Labcorp sent to AMCA and that was present in the systems involved in the breach. It does not automatically include every patient of Labcorp, Quest Diagnostics or another laboratory that used AMCA. Use the Class Member ID or contact Kroll if eligibility is uncertain.
How Do I File a Labcorp Settlement Claim Form?
File through the official site using the Class Member ID from the mailed or emailed notice, or contact Kroll if the notice is missing. Choose alternative cash or documented losses and optionally enroll in monitoring. For documented losses, attach third-party records and sign the required attestation; self-prepared documents alone are insufficient. Keep the confirmation and copies of all supporting material.
